CLEVELAND, OH — June 14, 2002 — TES Engineering is the new name for Thermal Environmental Systems, Inc., a 9-year-old privately held consulting and mechanical engineering firm. President Lawrence M. Thomas, P.E. also announced the adoption of an updated logo and tagline.
“Our new name and tagline better reflect our markets and the way we serve our customers,” says Thomas. “We’re much more than a traditional engineering firm. The lighthouse in our logo and our ‘Dependable Guidance’ tagline symbolize our business approach — we steer our clients away from problems and toward ways to maximize their profits.”
Founded by Thomas in 1993 with an emphasis on HVAC projects for industrial clients in Northeast Ohio, the firm broadened its client base when partner Stephen J. Chase joined in 1995, bringing nearly 20 years of background with regional retail mall developers. Thomas and Chase have both consulting and contracting experience, which enables them to offer solid engineering and cost-effective solutions, as well as smooth execution of projects. TES serves clients nationwide, and is registered in nineteen states and with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.
TES focuses on the partnership between the owner or facility operator, the installing contractor and the design team to insure that each project is completed to satisfaction. They take a unique, non-adversarial approach, acting as the owner’s agent throughout the design and construction process, communicating openly with contractors to reduce their risk, and assisting the design team to achieve the desired result.
