Projects have included energy audits, VOCs capture and removal, dust collection systems, chiller plants, boiler plants, fume collection systems, HVAC systems, humidity reduction, spray booths, paint lines, industrial spot cooling, ductwork and equipment modifications, indoor air quality retrofits, process cooling systems upgrades, and testing laboratories.
We have served a wide range of industries, such as automotive suppliers and manufacturers of cabinetry, electronics, brass castings, and plastics (including extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding facilities). In addition to MEP systems design, TES performs studies, evaluations, and financial justifications to aid in decision-making.
TES' principals and senior staff all have hands-on construction experience. We create buildable documents and sometimes coordinate sets of drawings to assist contractors and minimize conflicts between trades. The clarity of TES' documents and due diligence to fully describe project scope produces apples-to-apples construction bids without contingencies.
In every project, we seek to reduce energy usage and costs. Our energy audits carry this focus throughout the facility, and often produce findings for annual energy savings that have immediate or less than 1-year paybacks.
Example
- TES' energy audit of an 84,500 ft2 production facility recommended reducing plant ventilation fans speeds, which could reduce annual energy costs by $73,000. Five additional findings in that and a sister facility identified annual energy savings ranging from $400 to $13,300 that also required low-cost or no cost to implement.
- TES' energy audit of a 63,000 ft2 industrial facility in Northeast Ohio found that installation of occupancy sensors would save $62,000 in annual energy costs and had a payback period of 4.3 months. This was just one of many low-cost or no-cost findings of the audit.
