TES Engineering Initiates Program to Develop Next Generation of Leaders, Promotes Six Key Employees
CLEVELAND, OH — Mar. 25, 2008 — TES Engineering, a national consulting mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering firm, has initiated a program to enable the transition of the Firm to the next generation of leaders. Six key employees have been promoted into the program, which will invest in their future development and provide a path to becoming partners. TES was recently honored as one of the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio, and will mark its fifteenth anniversary in July.
President Lawrence (Larry) M. Thomas, P.E., attributes TES’ success to the Firm’s people and approach to customer service. “We’ve instilled caring and passion for responsive service into our staff to build our company and culture around developing clients’ trust and turning them into raving fans, and these six individuals exemplify those values,” he says. “My partner, Steve Chase, and I are gratified to reach this milestone that will perpetuate TES, offer greater opportunity for our employees, and help us continue to attract the best clients and colleagues.”
K. Dieter Hausmann, P.E., was promoted to Principle with equity in the Firm. He joined TES in 2003, bringing clients of his consulting engineering firm. Dieter has 25 years of mechanical engineering, consulting, and management experience, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He will continue in his responsibilities as TES’ Director of Mechanical Engineering and Quality Assurance.
Michael (Mike) A. Ruff, P.E., E.E., was promoted to Associate. Mike brought clients and staff members of his electrical engineering firm to TES in 2006. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the design of electrical distribution, lighting, and communication systems. As Director of Electrical Engineering, he assures the electrical competence and ongoing education of TES’ personnel and is responsible for electrical specifications, standard details, and staff design procedures.
Daniel (Dan) P. Stecklow, who joined TES in 2001 as Project Manager and Engineer, was promoted to Associate. He has 15 years of MEP engineering design experience and concentrates on big box and retail tenant design, including creation of prototypes and criteria documents for several major national retailers.
Daniel (Dan) L. Jackson was promoted to Associate. He joined TES in 2000 as Project Manager and Engineer with a background rich in project management and mechanical and electrical engineering. Dan serves as project manager for most of TES’ work for lifestyle centers and mall renovations and expansions.
John R. Edwards, P.E., joined TES in 2004 and was promoted from Project Manager and Mechanical Engineer to Associate. John has 10 years of experience in the design of construction documents and construction administration in new and renovation projects for retail, office, educational, medical, and institutional facilities. He has extensive knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Robert (Bob) P. Sotock joined TES in 2006 as Project Manager and Electrical Engineer, and was promoted to Associate. Bob has more than 17 years of experience in the design of electrical distribution, lighting, and communication systems for a wide variety of commercial client projects. His responsibilities include system analysis and design, preparation of construction documents and specifications, field supervision, and construction administration.
